Fika arranges real, offline meetings between real people. That’s what makes us different from any platform that lets you scroll endlessly and never actually meet anyone.

It also means we take responsibility that other platforms don’t. When we send two members to a café, we have made a commitment to both of them. That commitment starts with verification.

We have zero tolerance for fake accounts, harassment, or anyone who makes another member feel unsafe. We act on every report. We don’t give warnings for serious violations — we remove members permanently.

Before your first meeting, every Fika member completes our verification process. It takes less than two minutes and happens entirely inside the app.

    Your values, personality, and what you’re looking for in friendship and for love. This is what Fika arranges meetings around.

    Selfie verification
    A live selfie confirms you are a real person and matches your photo. Our team reviews each verification within 24 hours.

    Compatibility test answers reviewed
    Our team reviews your compatibility test answers before you enter the matching pool. Any submission that doesn’t meet our standards is flagged before any meeting is arranged.
  • 04
    Verified — ready to meet
    Once verified, you receive a badge visible to every member you are introduced to. Everyone you meet has been through the same process.

Community Standards

What we don’t tolerate.

These aren’t rules we enforce reluctantly. They’re the reason Fika works — because every member can trust the person sitting across from them at a café was held to the same standard.

Fake accounts & impersonation
Every member must represent who they actually are. Using someone else’s photos, a false identity, or creating multiple accounts results in permanent removal.
Harassment & unwanted contact
Any form of harassment — before, during, or after a meeting — is grounds for immediate removal. This includes persistent contact after someone has declined to continue.
Solicitation & commercial activity
Fika meetings are personal. Using the platform to sell products, recruit for organisations, or promote commercial interests is not permitted.
Sharing private information
Sharing another member’s personal details, photos, or contact information without their consent is a serious violation and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
Misrepresentation
Your compatibility test answers and photo must accurately represent who you are today. Significantly misleading information about your age, appearance, or circumstances is grounds for removal.
Discriminatory behaviour
Fika is for everyone. Behaviour that demeans or targets another member based on their identity, background, or beliefs has no place here.

You can report a concern at any point — before, during, or after a meeting. You don’t need to explain everything. If something felt off, let us know.

Every report is reviewed by a real person within 24 hours. We take action. We don’t close reports without a resolution.

Tap the flag icon on any member’s details or from your match screen. Describe what happened — a few words is enough. We will follow up if we need more.

Write to growth@fikaconnects.com with the subject “Safety concern.” You’ll receive a full response within 24 hours.

Immediate danger — call the police
If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number. Fika can assist with any information law enforcement requires from our end.

We keep you updated
You will know your report has been received and acted on. We do not leave reports open with no outcome. Serious violations result in permanent, irreversible removal.

Four things we never compromise on.

Meetings happen at Fika Spots only
Every first meeting is at a curated, public Fika Spot — a café, bar, or venue we have personally vetted. Never a private home, never an unknown location.

No unverified member ever receives an introduction
Verification is a prerequisite, not an option. The matching pool contains only members who have completed selfie verification and had their compatibility test answers reviewed. No exceptions.

Chat opens 12 hours before the meeting
Members can only contact each other after both have confirmed the meeting, and not until 12 hours before it. You are never reachable before then. This is a deliberate safety decision.

Every report gets a real response
Safety reports are reviewed by a person, not filtered automatically. Every report gets a response. Serious violations result in permanent, irreversible removal.
