Who we are
Fika Holdings Pte. Ltd. (“Fika,” “we,” “us”) operates the Fika Social Membership Club — a platform that arranges real, offline meetings between verified members. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data in connection with your use of the Fika app and website.
What data we collect
Information you provide
- Name, email address, phone number, and date of birth — provided during registration.
- Identity verification photo — a selfie reviewed by Fika’s own team to confirm you are a real person and are 18 or older. The photo is stored securely for as long as your account is active and used solely for verification — it will not be used for any other purpose. See our Biometric Privacy Policy for details on how biometric data is handled.
- Compatibility test responses — your answers to our questionnaire covering personality, social preferences, and what you are looking for in a meeting.
- Meeting feedback — brief ratings and notes you submit after each meeting.
- Story content — any information you include in your Story.
- Payment information — processed by our payment provider. Fika does not store full card details.
- Communications — emails, support requests, and any messages sent through official Fika channels.
Information collected automatically
- App usage data — screens viewed, features used, and session length.
- Device information — device type, operating system, and app version.
- Location — city-level location to confirm you are in a supported Fika market. We do not track precise real-time location.
How we use your data
- To operate the service — making introductions, coordinating meetings, and communicating with you about your membership.
- To verify identity — confirming every member is a real person over 18.
- To improve introductions — analysing meeting feedback to improve compatibility matching over time.
- To enforce our rules — investigating reports and taking action on Community Guideline violations.
- To comply with law — meeting our obligations under GDPR, PDPA, and applicable local law.
- To communicate with you — service updates, membership information, and (with your consent) newsletter and promotional content.
Who we share data with
Fika does not sell personal data. We share data only as necessary to operate the service:
- Identity verification — your verification photo is reviewed by Fika’s own team. It is not shared with third-party services. See our Biometric Privacy Policy.
- Payment processor — payment data is handled by our payment provider and is subject to their privacy policy.
- Hosting and infrastructure — Fika uses cloud hosting providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
- Law enforcement — where required by law, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of members or the public.
How long we keep data
We keep your personal data for as long as your membership is active, plus a period to fulfil legal obligations. Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days. Some data may be retained for longer where required by law. See our Delete Account page for details.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion — request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent for processing based on consent at any time.

Security
Fika uses industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
International data transfers
Fika operates across multiple countries. Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own. Where transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including standard contractual clauses where required.
