Safety Advice

Before, during,
and after.

Practical guidance to help you feel confident and safe at every Fika meeting.

Last updated: June 2026
Fika arranges every meeting at a verified Fika Spot. All venues are curated, all members are verified. These guidelines help you get the most from every meeting — and know what to do if anything feels wrong.

Before the meeting

Fika provides the name, venue, and time. You don’t need to share any additional personal information before your first meeting. Your contact details, home address, and workplace are private until you choose to share them.

During the meeting

Fika meetings happen at curated Fika Spots — public, well-lit venues with staff present. This is intentional. You should never agree to move to a private location on a first Fika meeting.

If you feel unsafe at any point: Leave immediately. You do not owe anyone an explanation. Your safety comes first. Report the incident in the Fika app or email growth@fikaconnects.com — all reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

After the meeting

Fika asks for brief feedback after every meeting. This helps us improve introductions and is how we identify patterns of concerning behaviour before they escalate.

Reporting a concern

Fika takes all safety reports seriously. Reports are reviewed by a human — not an automated system — within 24 hours.

Confirmed violations of our Community Guidelines result in immediate, permanent removal. There are no second chances for serious breaches.
