Age verification
Every member must confirm they are 18 or older during onboarding. Fika uses selfie-based identity verification, which includes age assessment, before any member receives their first introduction. This verification is mandatory — there is no path to membership that bypasses it.
What happens if we identify a minor
If Fika identifies or receives a report that an account belongs to a person under 18:
- The account is suspended immediately, pending review.
- If confirmed, the account is permanently deleted — no appeal, no reinstatement.
- Any introductions involving that account are reviewed and affected members are notified.
- If there is evidence of grooming, exploitation, or any harm to a minor, Fika reports the matter to the relevant law enforcement authorities.
CSAM — zero tolerance
Fika has a strict zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any content of this nature discovered on the platform is reported immediately to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to relevant law enforcement in the applicable jurisdiction. The account involved is permanently deleted.
Fika participates in industry frameworks for CSAM detection and prevention, consistent with applicable law.
Reporting a concern about a minor
If you believe a member may be under 18, or if you witness any behaviour involving a minor on the platform, report it immediately:
- In the app: Meeting History › Report a concern › Select “Possible minor.”
- By email: growth@fikaconnects.com — mark the subject line “Child Safety.”
All reports of this nature are escalated to senior review immediately, regardless of time or day.
Parental controls and education
Fika is not designed for use by minors and is not accessible to anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor has accessed the platform, contact growth@fikaconnects.com and we will act immediately.
