The story behind Fika

"Sometimes it's just about saying yes, taking a chance, and meeting in real life. A new friendship or relationship can only start if people meet."

I started Fika because I believe it has never been more important than now to meet in real life and create meaningful connections. This makes everyone happier — and happier people create a happier world.

I have lived in six different countries, speaking six languages, and through that I've come to understand that people, in the end, are very similar. We all care about love and belonging to feel fulfilled.

Having moved so many times without knowing anyone, I know how important it is to build your social life as soon as possible to feel well. With Fika, we want to accelerate that — for people who are new to a city, and for those who've lived in theirs for years but are still looking for that connection.
