### What is Fika?

Fika is a Social Membership Club that arranges real, offline meetings between verified members. We take care of the introduction — you just show up. Fika is for people looking for friendship, meaningful connection, and for love.

### When did Fika launch?

The original Fika app launched in October 2020. Fika 2.0 launched in April 2025, and Fika 3.0 — the current version — officially launched in July 2026. Fika currently offers Founding Memberships in Seattle, Singapore, and Hong Kong, alongside our member communities in Stockholm and Ho Chi Minh City.

### Who is Fika for?

Fika is for adults 18 and over who want to meet real people in real life — for friendship, social connection, or love. Our members are professionals, creatives, and curious people who prefer real conversations over endless scrolling.

### What cities is Fika in?

Stockholm, Ho Chi Minh City, Seattle, Singapore, and Hong Kong — with Founding Memberships currently offered in Seattle, Singapore, and Hong Kong. All five cities are part of the Fika community.

### What exactly is Fika?

Fika is a Social Membership Club that helps people meet in real life — for friendship, for romance, or both. We arrange real, offline meetings between verified members: you take a compatibility test, we introduce you to someone compatible and set up the meeting, and you show up. Fika is where your social life lives, permanently.

### What makes Fika different?

Fika removes the friction of trying to meet people online entirely. No browsing, no endless messaging — Fika arranges the meeting and you just show up. Every member is verified. Meetings happen at curated Fika Spots: cafés, restaurants, and venues selected for the right atmosphere. The goal is a real conversation, not a digital interaction.

### How does a meeting work?

After joining and completing the compatibility test, Fika introduces you to a compatible member. You each confirm the introduction with a Token — the mutual commitment that signals seriousness. Fika then arranges the time, date, and venue at a Fika Spot near you. Chat opens 12 hours before the meeting for logistics. You both show up. No back-and-forth messaging required beforehand.

### What is the compatibility test?

The compatibility test is a 75-question questionnaire covering personality, social preferences, values, and what you are looking for — in friendship and for love. It takes around 15 minutes and is the foundation of how Fika makes introductions. All members complete it before their first meeting.

### What is a Fika Spot?

Fika Spots are curated venues — cafés, wine bars, and restaurants — that Fika has selected for their atmosphere, privacy, and quality. All meetings are arranged at Fika Spots.

### How many meetings do I get per month?

Fika membership includes unlimited introductions. The number of meetings depends on your availability, your preferences, and the pool of compatible members in your city. There is no cap.

### Can I decline a meeting?

Yes. If a proposed introduction does not work for you, you can decline and Fika will arrange a new introduction. If you do not respond to three matches in a row, your account is temporarily frozen. You can unlock it with a Token. Fika sends a warning after each non-response before any freeze occurs.

### What is the Story feature?

The Story is a curated personal presentation — your photos, interests, and a short description of who you are. It is shared with the member you are introduced to after both confirm the meeting with a Token. You control everything that appears in your Story.

### How long does a first meeting last?

There is no set duration — that is entirely up to you. Most first meetings last 60 to 90 minutes. Fika only handles the introduction; the conversation is yours.

### How do I join Fika?

Download the Fika app, complete the compatibility test and identity verification, and choose your membership plan. Your membership starts immediately upon payment.

### What is included in membership?

All membership plans include: unlimited introductions, access to Fika Spots (with 10% member discount), meeting coordination by the Fika team, and verified member status. The 6-month plan is our primary recommendation for the best value.

### What is the difference between an active and inactive member?

An active member has a current, paid membership and is in the introduction pool. An inactive member has let their membership lapse — they keep their account but don't receive new introductions until they reactivate. Only active members are in the pool, which keeps the experience high-quality for everyone.

### How do I verify my identity?

Fika uses selfie verification to confirm every member is a real person. This is required before your first introduction. Verification data is handled according to our Biometric Privacy Policy.

### Can I pause my membership?

Yes. You can pause your membership from within the app. Pausing stops new introductions and pauses your billing cycle. You can resume at any time.

### How do I cancel?

You can cancel at any time from within the app or by contacting growth@fikaconnects.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. See our Refund Policy for details.

### Are prices the same for all genders?

Yes. All Fika pricing is the same regardless of gender in every market.

### What currencies does Fika accept?

Fika charges in local currency for each market: SEK in Sweden, VND in Vietnam, USD in the USA, SGD in Singapore, and HKD in Hong Kong.

### Can I get a refund?

In the EU (including Sweden), you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on digital services. In California, a 3-day right applies. For purchases made through the App Store or Google Play, refunds must be requested directly through Apple or Google. See our full Refund Policy.

### Is there a corporate or B2B rate?

Yes. Fika offers annual corporate plans for companies offering Fika as an employee benefit. Contact growth@fikaconnects.com for a company quote.

### How does Fika verify members?

Every member completes selfie-based identity verification before their first introduction. This ensures every person you meet is exactly who they say they are. Fika has a 100% verified member policy — no exceptions.

### What should I do if I feel unsafe at a meeting?

Leave immediately if you feel unsafe — your safety comes first. You can report any concern directly in the Fika app or by emailing growth@fikaconnects.com. All reports are reviewed within 24 hours. See our Safety Advice page for full guidance.

### What happens if a member behaves badly?

Fika has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, deception, or any behaviour that violates our Community Guidelines. Confirmed violations result in immediate, permanent removal. There are no second chances for serious breaches.

### Is Fika 18+ only?

Yes, absolutely. Fika is strictly 18 and over. Age is verified during onboarding. Any account found to belong to a minor is permanently removed immediately. See our Child Safety Standards.

### How does Fika handle my personal data?

Fika complies with GDPR, PDPA, and applicable data protection laws in all markets. You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data at any time. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Tokens.
How confirmation Tokens work and what they cost.

### What is a Token and why does Fika use them?

A Token is how a member confirms they want to meet someone. Both members each pay one Token to confirm. This mutual commitment keeps the community serious. A member who no-shows after confirming loses their Token. If the other person declines at any point, the Token is refunded.

### Do Tokens expire?

Individual Tokens are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase. Subscription Tokens (3 Tokens/month) expire at the end of each monthly billing cycle and do not carry over. Tokens are refunded if the other person declines — but not if you cancel after confirming.

### What happens to my Token if a meeting is cancelled?

If the other person declines or cancels at any point before the meeting, your Token is refunded. If you cancel after both members have confirmed, the Token is not returned. This applies equally to both members — it keeps the mutual commitment real.

### Can my company offer Fika as an employee benefit?

Yes. Fika for Companies is a corporate social wellness benefit that gives employees access to real social connection. Companies pay a flat rate per employee per month and employees receive full Fika membership. See the For Companies page for details.

### Is there a minimum company size?

Fika works with companies of all sizes. There is no minimum headcount. Contact us to discuss the right setup for your team.

### How does employee privacy work?

Employee membership data is strictly private. Employers receive only aggregate, anonymised data for reporting purposes — never individual member data, meeting details, or personal information. Employee activity on Fika is entirely confidential.
